3. Define proprietary colony, royal colony and charter colony. Give an example of each- Proprietary colony is run by individuals who had land granted to them. Not much influence from G.B.(Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania) Royal Colony is run by G.B. Heavily involved in the colony-Mass Bay, Virginia, New Hampshire, Georgia, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina) Charter colony- Colony ruled by settlers who were granted land, rights and privileges. They elected their own government, little to no influence over the colony by G.B. (Connecticut and Rhode Island)
